Paul ‘Trapper’ Cane, host of The Veterans Channel’s ‘Riding with Heroes’, is a Canadian Forces Veteran, Knight in The Order of St George, lifelong motorcyclist and all around modern military history expert. He believes in the courage of true heroes and is on a mission to introduce them and their extraordinary stories to our audience. The former infantryman and paratrooper has taken it upon himself to ensure these heroic stories of service and sacrifice are told through genuine conversation with those who lived them. Bringing a first-hand account as these humble veterans relive the moments that changed everything. It’s an inspiring look behind the scenes and into the lives of those who put everything they had on the line for us. Join Trapper as the rubber hits the road from coast to coast, story to story, uncovering a part of our country’s history.

HostPaul ‘Trapper’ Cane VeteranSergeant (Ret’d) P. M. ‘Trapper’ Cane, MSM, CD, served in the infantry with Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and the Canadian Airborne Regiment on United Nations and NATO operations worldwide. While commanding the sniper section of the Pathfinder Reconnaissance Platoon, he survived a 180-foot freefall impact after cutting himself away from an unconscious paratrooper during operations. Nineteen surgeries and two years in hospital led to his medical release, and soon after he co-founded the CAV (Canadian Army Veterans Motorcycle Units), a national community support organization. Since 2003 the CAV has ridden coast to coast 19 times, witnessed 150 repatriations of the fallen from Canada’s Afghanistan mission, and attended more than 1,500 veteran-focused events across the country. A proud Legion member, twice elected President of Branch #9, St. Croix, New Brunswick, he was a key figure in creating the Royal Canadian Legion’s national Legion Riders program. He also hosts The Veterans Channel series Riding with Heroes and Trapper’s Patrol, reaching veterans around the world through heartfelt interviews. His great pride in the Canadian Armed Forces, the CAV, the Royal Canadian Legion and The Veterans Channel, and his support for those who have served and sacrificed in uniform, continue.
