Making of a Retreat

Dave & Paul, both US Army Combat Veterans, reconnect after 30 years of service & transition into veteran farmers.  

Dave owns & operates Brecht Mountain Farm and Paul is the Chief Operating Officer at Veteran Retreats Foundation.   Building on their life long friendship, Dave & Paul are now sharpening their farming skills together while creating an environment to host a veteran retreat to help transition veterans into farmers.

Throughout the show series, veterans will learn farming 101 with a niche on lavender planting, cultivation & harvesting to develop residual products.  In addition, new veteran farmers will learn how to plant & harvest organic products to support & sustain themselves & their families. 

Our hope is to create a sense of purpose for veterans in their search for a post service career that is fulfilling.   

Dave & Paul Show Series is veterans farming together to generate revenue to support families and the community through our products.  In this series, Dave & Paul have fun and are enjoying a holistic lifestyle while planting lavender and laying the groundwork for Veteran Retreats Foundation to host its first Agri Retreat September 18 – 22, 2020.
